Basic Driver Qualification

1. Must be at least 23 years of age and have a minimum of two years verifiable, over the road, multi-state tractor/trailer experience.  Drivers older than 23 must have 12 months consecutive experience within the past eighteen months with no more than 30 days between jobs

2. No major preventable accident in the last three years (a major accident is defined as a DOT reportable accident.)

3. No more than two minor (non-DOT) preventable accidents in the past three years.

4. Must have a valid CDL Issued by the state of residence and have no more than 3 moving violations in the past three years.  No license suspensions [personal or commercial (CFR 49 Part 383.51)] in the past three years.  No speeding conviction sof 20 mph or more over posted limit in the past three years.

5. No DUI, DWI, reckless driving, careless driving or drug related convictions (in any type of vehicle) in the past five years.  No more than on during a lifetime.

6. No felony convictions.

7. No misdemeanor convictions for theft, assault, or drugs in the past five years.

8. No one currently on probation or parole.

9. Must be able to pass a U.S. Department of Transportation physical examination as required by Section 391.41 and successfully complete a pre-employment substance abuse test as required by Section 382.301.

10. Must complete the company orientaion class and pass company road test.
